Hi, my name is Tim Philips. Bartender for just about 9 years now. I’ve been lucky enough to work and run some of the worlds finest bars throughout Melbourne, China, London, France, New York and now Sydney. A few years back I won the doorstop accolade of being the U.K’s 2009 Bartender of the Year. My housemate at the time told me I wasn’t even the best bartender in the house….asshole. Recently i’ve taken out the World Class 2011 Australian Bartender of The Year and the 2011 Bartender Magazine Bartender of the Year. These trophies sit nicely beside my Under-14 North Dandenong Cricket Club Best Team Man Award. None of these mean anything really. I’m a humble guy. You have to be in this industry. I love my job. I love writing. I love getting people drunk. I hope you enjoy reading my musings on all things bar, drinking, and non-drinking related.
